Starting and finishing in the heart of Kelso, this 143.8-kilometre test mirrors the popular men’s route from 2024, as the women’s race makes it’s first-ever visit to Scotland!
The riders will set off northwest past Mellerstain House and Smailholm to the first Queen of the Mountains challenge at Scott’s View before descending under the Leaderfoot Viaduct and crossing the Tweed to tackle the steep 2.5km Dingleton climb near Melrose ⛰️
After heading south via Denholm, riders take on a 3km climb up Dunion Hill at 5.4% before descending into Jedburgh. The race will return to Kelso for an intermediate sprint in the town’s cobbled square.
The route then loops through Floors Castle and repeats the climbs of Scott’s View and Dingleton before a fast, technical 15km run to the finish in The Square around 3pm.
This queen stage is set to be the longest and most dramatic route of the Tour, passing through the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Borders, you will not want to miss it! We look forward to seeing you there… 👀
